Inoue Vase Large (1200-0872)
by Currey
The dripped pattern on the surface of the Inoue Large Vase was inspired by the art of Imperial Japan, particularly the rusticity of Zen ideals that arose during the Kamakura period. Made of porcelain, the black and off-white vessel is subtly rough to the touch and has a matte appearance. The gallery-worthy vase is hand-thrown and hand-decorated so the patterns will vary slightly.
